Rund 50 Demonstranten zogen am Montag Nachmittag in einem bunten Zug vom Münsterplatz zum Sitz des Bundesverbandes Deutscher Pflanzenzüchter in Bonn, in dem auch die großen Saatgutkonzerne wie Bayer, Syngenta und Monsanto vertreten sind. Sie kritisierten dessen Propagierung der Gentechnologie, die Forderung nach mehr und strengerem Sorten- und Patentschutz sowie die Praxis des BDP und der angegliederten Saatguttreuhand, Landwirte auszuforschen und Nachbaugebühren einzutreiben. Träger der Demo waren die Arbeitsgemeinschaft bäuerliche Landwirtschaft (AbL), das Aktionsbündnis COP 9 und das Internationale Notkomitee zur Rettung des Weizen.
